* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...

  OKALOOSA COUNTY IN NORTHWEST FLORIDA

* UNTIL 400 PM CST

* AT 157 PM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  VERY HEAVY RAIN FROM THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 6
  MILES NORTHEAST OF DORCAS TO 15 MILES SOUTHWEST OF VALPARAISO...OR
  ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 15 MILES NORTHWEST OF DE FUNIAK SPRINGS
  TO 7 MILES WEST OF FORT WALTON BEACH. THE LINE OF STORMS IS MOVING
  EAST AT AROUND 10 TO 15 MPH...WHILE THE INDIVIDUAL STORMS WITHIN THE
  LINE ARE MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHEAST AT AROUND 35 TO 40 MPH. 

RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES HAVE OCCURRED DURING THE PAST COUPLE 
OF HOURS OVER THE WARNED AREA...AND AN ADDITIONAL 2 TO 3 INCHES CAN BE 
EXPECTED IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME THROUGH 400 PM CST.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY
ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS...STREAMS AND OTHER LOW
LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLOODING.

RESIDENTS LIVING IN FLOOD PRONE AREAS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE
PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS
WATERS OF UNKNOWN DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY AUTOMOBILE. REMEMBER...IT ONLY
