THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FLAGSTAFF HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  EXTREME EAST CENTRAL GILA COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL ARIZONA
  EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN NAVAJO COUNTY IN NORTHEAST ARIZONA

* UNTIL 1215 AM MST

* AT 1005 PM MST...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED FLASH
  FLOODING FROM A THUNDERSTORM OVER THE WARNED AREA.

* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO WHITERIVER 
AND CANYON DAY.

LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT IN WHITERIVER HAS REPORTED SEVERAL ROAD 
CLOSURES IN THE WARNING AREA...AS WELL AS SEVERAL HOMES BEING 
FLOODED IN THE WHITE RIVER AND EAST CANYON DAY AREA. 
ROADS...INCLUDING HIGHWAY 73 NEAR CANYON DAY...HAVE BEEN DAMAGED BY 
EXCESSIVE RUNOFF AND DEBRIS FLOW.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES
AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
