THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAS VEGAS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTH CENTRAL NYE COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL NEVADA

* UNTIL 445 PM PST

* AT 1230 PM PST...A SPOTTER REPORTED FLOODING THROUGHOUT THE PAHRUMP
  AREA. RUNOFF FROM STEADY RAINFALL LAST NIGHT AND THIS MORNING OVER 
  THE SPRING MOUNTAINS HAS COME DOWN THE MOUNTAINS AND INTO PAHRUMP.
  SEVERAL ROADS IN THE AREA WERE EITHER CLOSED OR PARTIALLY CLOSED 
  WITH AS MUCH AS 2 FEET OF WATER IN SOME AREAS. AS OF 1240 PM 
  HIGHWAY 160 NORTHBOUND WAS CLOSED BUT THE SOUTHBOUND LANES WERE 
  OPEN. MUD AND DEBRIS WAS ALSO CARRIED ACROSS ROADWAYS WITH THE 
  WATER. SNOWPLOWS WERE BEING USED TO REMOVE THE MUD. RAINFALL HAS 
  DIMINISHED OVER THE SPRING MOUNTAINS BUT SOME RUNOFF CAN BE 
  EXPECTED INTO MID AFTERNOON.  

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
