OKLAHOMA...

.AS A POWERFUL JET STREAM APPROACHES THE PLAINS...LOW PRESSURE WAS
INTENSIFYING OVER WESTERN KANSAS. WINDS AROUND 30 MPH WITH GUSTS
TO 45 MPH WILL CONTINUE IN NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA THIS AFTERNOON WHERE
SUNNY SKIES HAVE ALLOWED THE STRONG WINDS TO MIX TO THE SURFACE.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORMAN HAS ISSUED A WIND
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON. 

SOUTH WINDS OF 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH WERE ALREADY IN PLACE
OVER NORTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA. THIS IS IN ADVANCE OF A STRENGTHENING
LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IN WESTERN KANSAS. THE STRONG WINDS WILL
CONTINUE UNTIL EARLY EVENING...WHEN THE LOSS OF HEATING WILL ALLOW
THE STRONGEST WINDS TO REMAIN ABOVE GROUND.

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS
THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH
PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION. ALSO BEWARE OF BLOWING
DUST WHICH MAY REDUCE VISIBILITY NEAR OPEN FIELDS. IF YOU ENCOUNTER
BLOWING DUST...PULL FAR OFF THE ROAD UNTIL GOOD VISIBILITY
