THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOBILE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...

  ESCAMBIA COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL ALABAMA

* UNTIL 845 PM CDT

* AT 635 PM CDT...THE PUBLIC REPORTED FLOODING FROM EARLIER RAINS 
OVER WESTERN ESCAMBIA COUNTY.  LESSER AMOUNTS FELL OVER THE EASTERN 
SECTIONS BUT STILL SUFFICIENT ENOUGH TO CAUSE FLOODING OF LOW PLACES 
AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.  ADDITIONAL SCATTERED SHOWERS THIS EVENING 
WILL ADD TO THE STANDING WATER ACROSS THE AREA.

* OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO   
WALLACE...POARCH...  MCCULLOUGH...IRKLAND...JEDDO...HUXFORD...HOLMAN 
PRISON...FOSHEE...BARNETT CROSSROADS AND APPLETON.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM EARLIER HEAVY RAINFALL WILL BE SLOW TO 
DRAIN...CAUSING FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS TO CONTINUE FOR 
A FEW HOURS. 

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
