* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...

  WASHINGTON COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST ALABAMA
  GREENE COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI

* UNTIL 100 PM CDT

* AT 1011 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  VERY HEAVY RAIN FROM A THUNDERSTORM 21 MILES SOUTHEAST OF CHATOM.
  THE STORM PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN WAS NEARLY STATIONARY.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 3 TO 4 INCHES IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME ARE 
INDICATED OVER THE WARNED AREA...MEANING RUNOFF WILL LIKELY AFFECT 
RIVERS AND STREAMS FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS. EXCESSIVE RUNOFF 
FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL ALSO CAUSE FLOODING OF HIGHWAYS...STREETS 
AND UNDERPASSES...AS WELL AS OTHER POORLY DRAINED OR LOW LYING 
AREAS.

TAKES A FEW INCHES OF SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER TO CARRY VEHICLES AWAY.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE
