THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOBILE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...

  MOBILE COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST ALABAMA

* UNTIL 530 PM CDT

* AT 328 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  A SPIRAL BAND ASSOCIATED WITH TROPICAL STORM ARLENE MOVING SLOWLY 
  SOUTHWEST ACROSS A LARGE PORTION OF CENTRAL MOBILE COUNTY.  NEARLY 
  1.5 INCHES OF RAINFALL HAS FALLEN DURING THE PAST HOUR. STORM TOTAL
  RAINFALL SO FAR TODAY HAS BEEN 2.7 INCHES.   

* SOME AREAS AFFECTED BY THE HEAVY RAINFALL WILL BE AROUND...
  THEODORE AND SCHILLINGER AND THREE NOTCH RDS
  WILMER AND SEVEN HILLS
  TANNER WILLIAMS AND I10 AND MCDONALD ROAD

RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME ARE
LIKELY OVER THE WARNED AREA.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES...AS WELL AS
OTHER POUR DRAINAGE AND LOW LYING AREAS.
