THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ST LOUIS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  FRANKLIN COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI

* UNTIL 600 AM CST

* AT 1136 PM CST...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED FLASH
  FLOODING FROM A THUNDERSTORM OVER THE WARNED AREA.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL HAS CAUSED MO HWY 185 S NEAR 
MERAMEC STATE PARK TO FLOOD.  WATER IS COVERING MO HWY 30 NEAR ST 
CLAIR.  MANY OTHER SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS 
WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS ARE EXPECTED 
TO FLOOD.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE
UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS
SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
