THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  GORDON COUNTY IN NORTHWEST GEORGIA

* UNTIL 330 AM EDT

* AT 1236 AM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  TORRENTIAL RAIN FROM THUNDERSTORMS CENTERED NEAR CALHOUN. THESE
  STORMS WERE PRODUCING 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN PER HOUR AND WERE MOVING 
  SLOWLY NORTH AT 10 MPH OVER AREAS WHICH HAVE ALREADY RECIEVED 1 TO 3 
  INCHES OF RAIN. FLASH FLOODING IS LIKELY WITH THIS STORM

* OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
  REDBUD...OOSTANAULA...NICKELSVILLE AND AUDUBON AS WELL AS INTERSTATE
  75 BETWEEN ADAIRSVILLE AND TILTON OR BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 306 
  AND 325. PERSONS ON I-75 ARE URGED TO SLOW DOWN OR PULL OVER AND WAIT
  OUT THE STORM

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE
UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS
SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
