* UNTIL 730 PM EST

* AT 228 PM EST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  FLASH FLOODING FROM STEADY MODERATE RAIN OVER THE WARNED AREA.

* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
  WELLSVILLE... BELFAST... HOUGHTON AND ALFRED.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE 
BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS. ALSO...THE GENESEE RIVER AT WELLSVILLE

ALLEGANY COUNTY...

AT 600 PM EST...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED FLOODING OF 
SEVERAL VILLAGE STREETS IN WELLSVILLE...BASEMENTS TAKING ON 
WATER...AND MORE WIDESPREAD FLOODING OF RURAL AREAS THROUGHOUT THE 
COUNTY. 

MOST OF THE COUNTY HAS SEEN ABOUT TWO INCHES OF RAIN SINCE THIS 
MORNING...AND AREAS OF ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN WILL MOVE ACROSS THE 
COUNTY BETWEEN NOW AND ABOUT 8 PM...AND IT SHOULD THEN TAPER OFF. 

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE 
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS 
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. 
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
