* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  EAST CENTRAL SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA

* UNTIL 300 PM PDT

* AT 130 PM PDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  FLASH FLOODING FROM A THUNDERSTORM OVER EXTREME EAST CENTRAL SAN   
  BERNARDINO COUNTY. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED SOUTH OF NEEDLES ALONG 
  US 95 BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 50 AND 20. THE STORM PRODUCING FLASH 
  FLOODING WAS NEARLY STATIONARY.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. MOST FLOOD RELATED DEATHS OCCUR
IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS WATER COVERED BRIDGES...

* AT 723 PM PDT...LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED FLASH           
  FLOODING STILL ONGOING IN SOUTH CENTRAL SAN BERNARDINO             
  COUNTY EVEN THOUGH THE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DISSIPATED. CALIFORNIA   
  HIGHWAY PATROL REPORTED SEVERAL FEET OF WATER ACROSS STATE ROUTE   
  62 EAST OF IRON AGE ROAD. 

* IT WILL TAKE SEVERAL MORE HOURS FOR RUNOFF FROM THE INTENSE        
  THUNDERSTORMS EARLIER IN THE DAY TO DECREASE. 

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE TO CAUSE FLOODING 
OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS AND ROADWAYS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE 
DANGERS OF FLOODING.
