CENTRAL GRAHAM COUNTY IN ARIZONA
THIS INCLUDES THE TOWNS OF THATCHER AND PIMA AND THE BURN AREAS
ON MOUNT GRAHAM

* AT 628 PM MST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER CENTRAL GRAHAM COUNTY NEAR THE TOWNS OF
THATCHER AND PIMA...AND THE BURN AREAS ATOP MOUNT GRAHAM. STORMS
WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 10 MPH.
AT 635 PM MST...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORTED FLOODING ALONG PALMER
LANE AND LAYTON ROAD IN THATCHER. IN ADDITION...ON MOUNT GRAHAM...
MUD HAD SPREAD ACROSS HIGHWAY 366...JUST BELOW TURKEY FLAT. FLASH
FLOODING OF JACOBSON WASH AND MARIJILDA CREEKS ARE LIKELY OCCURRING
WITH ADDITIONAL ROCK SLIDES AND MUDSLIDES ALONG HIGHWAY 366 BETWEEN
NOON CREEK AND TWILIGHT CANYON. FURTHER DOWNSTREAM...RESIDENTS OF
LEBANON AND THUNDERBIRD ESTATES MAY ALSO BE AFFECTED.
AT 645 PM MST...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR ALSO INDICATED VERY
HEAVY RAIN WAS OCCURRING OVER THE BURN AREAS OF FRYE AND DEADMAN
CANYONS. RAINFALL RUNOFF WILL CONTINUE TO FILL INTO THESE BURN AREA
WATERSHEDS...RESULTING IN FLASH FLOODING OF FRYE AND DEADMAN CREEKS.
THIS WARNING REPLACES THE PREVIOUSLY ISSUED FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR
THIS AREA.
