THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTH CENTRAL WASHINGTON COUNTY IN UTAH
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF ST. GEORGE

* UNTIL 715 PM MDT


A FLASH FLOOD WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED ALONG THE FORT PIERCE AND 
MOKAAC WASHES ON THE SOUTHERN BORDER OF UTAH. THESE WASHES ORIGINATE 
IN ARIZONA AND FLOW NORTHWARD INTO UTAH. THESE DRAINAGES HAVE A HIGH 
POTENTIAL FOR FLASH FLOODING. HEAVY RAIN HAS BEEN FALLING IN THE 
UPPER PORTION OF THESE WASHES AND FLASH FLOODING IS EXPECTED WITHIN 
THE NEXT 1 TO 3 HOURS IN SOUTHERN WASHINGTON COUNTY.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.

SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS OR WATERS OF UNKNOWN DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY
AUTOMOBILE. IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS, ABANDON IT IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK
HIGHER GROUND.
