THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  MILLER COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSOURI.

* UNTIL 645 PM CDT.

* AT 1249 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE WARNED AREA.     
  DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED THAT NEARLY THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAS AFFECTED
  NORTHERN AND CENTRAL MILLER COUNTY THIS MORNING AND THIS AFTERNOON.

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE
  WARNED AREA. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH
  FLOODING TO OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING
  INCLUDE...ELDON...IBERIA...ST. ELIZABETH...TUSCUMBIA...AURORA
  SPRINGS...BAGNELL...BRUMLEY...ETTERVILLE...MARYS HOME...OLEAN...
  SAINT ELIZABETH AND ULMAN.

IN HILLY TERRAIN THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS WHICH ARE 
POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS IN HEAVY RAIN. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL ACROSS 
FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES. IT ONLY TAKES A FEW INCHES OF 
SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER TO CARRY VEHICLES AWAY.
