PERSON COUNTY IN CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA * UNTIL 430 PM EDT * AT 116 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A BAND OF HEAVY RAIN EXTENDING FROM ROXBORO...PEEPS STORE AND BETHEL HILL NORTH TO SOUTH BOSTON AND CHESTER VIRGINIA. THIS LARGE BAND OF HEAVY RAIN WILL MOVE SOUTH ACROSS MOST OF PERSON COUNTY THROUGH 3 PM. UP TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS BEEN REPORTED IN ROXBORO WITH OVER A DOZEN ROADS CLOSED COUNTYWIDE. MILL CREEK NORTHEAST OF ROXBORO IS OUT OF ITS BANKS AND FLOODING SEVERAL ROADS.
