* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  UPTON COUNTY IN WEST TEXAS

* UNTIL 800 AM CDT

* AT 501 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A 
  A THUNDERSTORM OVER MCCAMEY HAS PRODUCED OVER 2 INCHES OF          
  RAINFALL.  ALSO LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED FLASH     
  FLOODING OCCURRING ON CITY STREETS IN MCCAMEY. THIS STORM HAS      
  LITTLE MOVEMENT.

...A FLASH FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES UNTIL 800 AM CDT FOR UPTON
COUNTY...

AT 619 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO 
DETECT THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN OVER MUCH OF 
SOUTHERN AND WESTERN UPTON COUNTY. ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS WILL 
MOVE SLOWLY NORTH INTO THE SOUTHERN PART OF UPTON COUNTY OVER THE 
NEXT HOUR. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES THAT OVER 2 INCHES OF RAIN HAS 
FALLEN OVER PARTS OF SOUTHERN UPTON COUNTY NEAR MCCAMEY.

LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORTED FLOODING ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 67 385 
NEAR MCCAMEY AT 510 AM CDT. ADDITIONAL FLOODING IS LIKELY AS 
THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO SLOWLY MOVE NORTH.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE 
DANGERS OF FLOODING. ACT QUICKLY IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED. MOVE TO 
HIGHER GROUND.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND. MOST FLOODING DEATHS ARE PREVENTABLE. TURN
AROUND... DONT DROWN.
