A THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN CAPABLE OF PRODUCING FLASH
FLOODING 20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF BELDING...OR ABOUT 29 MILES
NORTHEAST OF ALPINE. THIS STORM WAS NEARLY STATIONARY.
FLASH FLOODING OF CREEKS AND STREAMS...LOW WATER CROSSINGS...

...A FLASH FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES UNTIL 1015 PM CDT FOR WEST CENTRAL
PECOS COUNTY...
AT 838 PM CDT...THUNDERSTORMS REMAIN IN THE WARNED AREA ALTHOUGH THE
COVERAGE HAS DECREASED. VERY HEAVY RAINS BETWEEN 600 AND 730 PM THIS
EVENING WEST OF HIGHWAY 67 HAVE LIKELY RESULTED IN FLOODING AND
FLASH FLOODING IN RURAL AREAS OF WEST CENTRAL PECOS COUNTY SOUTHWEST
OF FORT STOCKTON. COYANOSA DRAW IS EXPECTED TO RUNNING WITH WATER AND
LOW WATER CROSSINGS MAY BE FLOODED. ADDITIONAL STORMS MAY MOVE INTO
THE WARNED AREA FROM THE SOUTH BRINGING ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN.
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLASH FLOODING. DO NOT DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER
COVERS THE ROADWAY. ACT QUICKLY IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED. MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND.
