THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LOUISVILLE HAS EXTENDED THE

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  ADAIR COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY
  CLINTON COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY
  CUMBERLAND COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY
  RUSSELL COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY

* UNTIL 800 PM CST

AS OF 6 PM CST, TODAYS RAINFALL AMOUNTS HAVE RANGED FROM 2 TO 3 
INCHES OVER THE WARNED AREA. ADDITIONAL BURSTS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY 
RAIN, WITH UP TO 1 INCH OF ADDITIONAL RAINFALL, ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE 
IN FROM TENNESSEE THROUGH AT LEAST 7 PM CST. RUNOFF FROM THIS 
ADDITIONAL RAIN WILL LIKELY CREATE FLOODING PROBLEMS.

* SOME LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE ALBANY...BREEDING...COLUMBIA
  AND JAMESTOWN

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED
ROADWAYS...IT MAY BE DIFFICULT TO JUDGE THE ACTUAL DEPTH OF THE
WATER. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER 
GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.

EXCESSIVE RAINFALL FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF
CREEKS AND STREAMS...ROADS AND ROADSIDE CULVERTS. THE HEAVY RAINS
COULD ALSO TRIGGER ROCK AND MUDSLIDES IN STEEP TERRAIN.
