THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTH PLATTE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  LINCOLN COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF NORTH PLATTE

* UNTIL 530 AM CDT

* AT 1119 PM CDT...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED WATER 
FLOWING OVER THE STATE FARM ROAD 2 MILES EAST OF HIGHWAY 83 IN NORTH 
PLATTE. THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO REDEVELOP ALONG A SEMI STATIONARY 
FRONT WITH THE SLOW MOVEMENT OF STORMS TO INCREASE THE POTENTIAL FOR 
FLASH FLOODING ACROSS CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN LINCOLN COUNTY. 

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF UP TO 2 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE 
WARNED AREA THROUGH 6 AM CDT.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE
BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE
UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS
SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
