THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WICHITA HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  MARION COUNTY IN CENTRAL KANSAS

* UNTIL 900 AM CDT

* AT 253 AM CDT...WEATHER RADAR INDICATED THAT 2 TO 3 INCHES OF 
RAINFALL HAD FALLEN OVER SOUTHERN SECTIONS OF MARION COUNTY IN THE 
LAST THREE HOURS. LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED NIGHTHAWK ROAD 
BETWEEN 120TH AND 130TH STREETS, JUST NORTH OF PEABODY, WAS 
IMPASSABLE DUE TO HIGH WATER FROM CATLIN CREEK. 

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT...WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.
TWO FEET OF RUSHING WATER CAN CARRY AWAY MOST VEHICLES, INCLUDING
SUVS AND PICKUPS.
