THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  FULTON COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL GEORGIA

* UNTIL 1230 AM EST

* AT 1026 PM EST...VERY HEAVY RAIN HAS FALLEN ACROSS THE ATLANTA 
  AREA. FLOOD WATERS ARE MOVING DOWN PROCTOR CREEK OVER WEST ATLANTA. 
  THE RAINFALL HAS TAPERED OFF IN THIS AREA BUT WATER LEVELS WILL 
  CONTINUE TO RISE.

* OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO    
  ...PIEDMONT PARK...HAPEVILLE...EAST POINT...COLLEGE PARK AND 
   ATLANTA.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES
AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE
UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS
SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
