THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
  VAL VERDE

* UNTIL 530 PM CDT

* AT 326 PM CDT...FLASH FLOODING WAS REPORTED FROM A THUNDERSTORM    
  NEAR COMSTOCK...MOVING EAST AT 5 MPH. AND ANOTHER THUNDERSTORM
  NEAR DEL RIO MOVING NORTHWEST AT 5 MPH. 

* OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE SEMINOLE CANYON STATE       
  PARK...LOMA ALTA...LAUGHLIN AFB...AND JUNO.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THESE AND PREVIOUS STORMS ARE CAUSING FLASH 
FLOODING OF CREEKS AND STREAMS...ROADS AND ROADSIDE CULVERTS. VAL 
VERDE LAW ENFORCEMENT HAS  REPORTED  SOME FLOODING IN WESTERN 
SECTIONS OF THE CITY OF DEL RIO.  ALSO SOME COUNTY ROADS IN THE 
NORTHERN HALF OF VAL VERDE COUNTY ARE FLOODED. 

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE
PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS
SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS OR WATERS OF UNKNOWN DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY
AUTOMOBILE. IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS, ABANDON IT IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK
HIGHER GROUND.
