THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STATE COLLEGE PA HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  TIOGA COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA

* UNTIL 545 PM EST.

* AT 340 PM EST...AUTOMATED GAGE REPORTS AND INFORMATION FROM LOCAL
  LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS INDICATED A POSSIBLE ICE JAM ON THE 
  TIOGA RIVER NEAR MANSFIELD.

AN ICE JAM RESTRICTS WATER FLOW. THE WATER BEHIND THE ICE JAM WILL BE
VERY SLOW TO RECEED AND MAY CONTINUE TO ACCUMULATE...RESULTING IN 
FLOODING IN AND AROUND THE MANSFIELD AREA. BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO 
HIGHER GROUND TO AVOID THE FLOOD WATER.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED. MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND.

DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN PLAY NEAR DRAINAGE DITCHES...STORM SEWERS OR
STREAMS.

IF YOU LIVE BELOW THE LOCATION OF THE ICE JAM...BE AWARE THAT THE JAM
COULD GIVE WAY AND SEND LARGE QUANTITIES OF WATER DOWNSTREAM. THIS
COULD CAUSE RAPID FLOODING OF THE AREA BELOW THE JAM.

BEEN CANCELLED...

LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS HAVE CONFIRMED THAT NO HIGH WATER 
PROBLEMS ARE OCCURRING IN OR AROUND MANSFIELD AT THIS TIME. 

STREAMS AND CREEKS IN THE WARNED AREA ARE RISING SIGNIFICANTLY DUE 
TO THE SNOW MELT THAT IS TAKING PLACE TODAY. EVEN THOUGH STREAMS AND 
CREEKS ARE RISING...THERE IS NO IMMEDIATE FLOODING THREAT. 

DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN PLAY NEAR DRAINAGE DITCHES...STORM SEWERS 
OR STREAMS. DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH WATER OF UNKNOWN DEPTH.
