THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CENTRAL ROOSEVELT COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL NEW MEXICO

* UNTIL 400 PM MDT

* AT 156 PM MDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
  HEAVY RAIN OVER MUCH OF SOUTH CENTRAL ROOSEVELT COUNTY MAINLY    
  ALONG AND SOUTH OF A ELIDA TO DORA TO CAUSEY LINE. THE RAIN IS     
  MOVING NORTHWEST AT 15 MPH WITH ADDITIONAL MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN  
  NOTED OVER LEA COUNTY. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF OVER ONE INCH HAVE      
  OCCURRED SINCE THIS MORNING WITH ANOTHER INCH OR GREATER AMOUNTS   
  LIKELY OVER THE NEXT TWO TO THREE HOURS. 

* THE EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL SPREAD FROM MILNESAND TO DORA TO ELIDA 
  BETWEEN 210 PM AND 400 PM MDT

DO NOT DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. MANY FLASH
FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR CENTRAL ROOSEVELT
COUNTY IN NEW MEXICO UNTIL 400 PM MDT...

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED MODERATE RAINFALL 
CONTINUING OVER THE WARNED AREA.  ALTHOUGH THE HEAVIEST RAIN HAS 
TAPERED OFF ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN IS LOCATED OVER NORTH CENTRAL LEA 
COUNTY. THE RAIN CONTINUES TO MOVE NORTH TO NORTHWEST AT 15 TO 20 
MPH. ADDITIONAL FLASH FLOODING IS EXPECTED.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
STREAMS AND ARROYOS...POOR DRAINAGE AND LOW LYING AREAS.
