THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAS VEGAS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTH CENTRAL SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA

* UNTIL 815 AM PDT

* AT 509 AM PDT...SKYWARN WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED VERY HEAVY RAIN 
  IN THE SOUTH PART OF TWENTYNINE PALMS. DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED THE 
  STORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 10 MPH...WITH NEW STORMS DEVELOPING 
  OVER THE MOUNTAINS TO THE SOUTH.

* THE THUNDERSTORM WITH EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL BE...
  NEAR AMBOY AT 805 AM PDT

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF WASHES
AND NARROW CANYONS. THE HEAVY RAINS COULD ALSO TRIGGER ROCK AND
MUDSLIDES IN STEEP TERRAIN.

NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
IT ONLY TAKES A FOOT OR TWO OF FLOWING WATER TO WASH MOST CARS AWAY.
VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
