THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAS VEGAS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WEST CENTRAL CLARK COUNTY IN SOUTHERN NEVADA

* UNTIL 500 PM PDT

* AT 257 PM PDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
  A THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN NEAR RED ROCK CANYON...THE     
  STORM HAS VERY LITTLE MOVEMENT.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF WASHES 
AND NARROW CANYONS. THE HEAVY RAINS COULD ALSO TRIGGER ROCK AND 
MUDSLIDES IN STEEP TERRAIN.

FLOODING IS NOT OCCURRING IN THE LAS VEGAS VALLEY...BUT RUNOFF FROM 
THE FLAMINGO AND TROPICANA WASHES MAY CAUSE SOME NUISANCE FLOODING 
THROUGH 5 PM.

NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
IT ONLY TAKES A FOOT OR TWO OF FLOWING WATER TO WASH MOST CARS AWAY.
VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
