THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RUSKIN HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CHARLOTTE COUNTY IN FLORIDA.

  FLOODING WILL AFFECT THE FOLLOWING CITIES.
  PUNTA GORDA.
  PORT CHARLOTTE.

* UNTIL 830 PM EDT

* AT 613 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  RAINFALL RATES OVER TWO INCHES PER HOUR WITH MORE SHOWERS AND
  THUNDERSTORMS MOVING ONSHORE. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES FOR THE PAST 
  THREE HOURS INDICATE THAT 3 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN HAD FALLEN OVER A
  LARGE PORTION OF CHARLOTTE COUNTY INCLUDING ROTUNDA...PORT
  CHARLOTTE AND PUNTA GORDA.  ADDITIONAL AREAS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY
  RAIN ARE FORECAST TO MOVE ACROSS THE WARNING AREA INTO THE
  EVENING...WITH AN ADDITIONAL 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN LIKELY WITH
