THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TALLAHASSEE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHERN CLAY COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST GEORGIA
  QUITMAN COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST GEORGIA

* UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT

* AT 1012 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR            
  INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER NORTHERN    
  CLAY AND QUITMAN COUNTIES. THESE STORMS ARE MOVING NORTH AT 20     
  MPH...AND THIS ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL OF 1 TO 3 INCHES IS       
  FALLING ON ALREADY SATURATED GROUND FROM EARLIER RAINFALL.         
  RESIDENTS IN FLOOD PRONE AREAS SHOULD BE PREPARED TO SEEK HIGHER   
  GROUND. 

* DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE
  ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
  CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED
  QUICKLY. IT ONLY TAKES A FOOT OR TWO OF FLOWING WATER TO SWEEP MOST
  CARS AWAY. REMEMBER...MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.
