NORTH CENTRAL SAN DIEGO COUNTY * UNTIL 600 PM PDT * AT 510 PM PDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAIN 62 MILES NORTHEAST OF RANCHITA...OR 12 MILES WEST OF BORREGO SPRINGS. IT WAS NEARLY STATIONARY. HEAVY RAINFALL FROM THIS STORM ON THE EASTERN SLOPES OF THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY MOUNTAINS WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF BORREGO PALM CANYON. PALM CANYON FLOWS INTO BORREGO SPRINGS. EARLIER TODAY THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCED FLASH FLOODING IN THIS CANYON...RESULTING IN FLOODED ROADWAYS IN THE WESTERN SECTIONS OF BORREGO SPRINGS. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING. PEOPLE IN BORREGO SPRINGS AND IN THE BORREGO PALM CANYONS CAMPGROUND SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR POSSIBLE FLASH FLOODING AS THE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM MOVES DOWN BORREGO PALM CANYON. RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY.
