THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  EXTREME WESTERN CUMBERLAND COUNTY IN CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 1000 AM EDT

* AT 443 AM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY
  HEAVY RAIN MOVING THROUGH THE WARNED AREA UNTIL 6 AM.

* EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS STATED THE DAM STRUCTURE IS     
UNSTABLE AND COULD GIVE WAY AT ANY TIME. THIS WILL CAUSE EXTREME 
FLOODING OF THE ROCKFISH CREEK FLOWING INTO UPCHURCHES POND. 

THE DAM AND CREEK ARE APPROXIMATELY 3 MILES WEST OF HOPE MILLS. 

PERSONS LIVING ALONG THE RIVER DOWNSTREAM FROM THE DAM SHOULD MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND NOW FLOODING WILL OCCUR RAPIDLY.
