THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH HAS EXTENDED THE FLASH FLOOD 
WARNING FOR MOORE COUNTY IN CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 215 AM EDT

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DIMINISHED DURING THE PAST HOUR BUT 
AN ADDITIONAL ONE HALF TO ONE INCH OF RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER 
NORTHERN AND CENTRAL MOORE COUNTY THROUGH 200 AM. ALTHOUGH THE RAIN 
HAS LESSENED...STREAMS WILL CONTINUE TO RISE AROUND...
  ROBBINS.

  CAMERON.

AT LEAST ONE RESCUE WAS REQUIRED SHORTLY BEFORE 100 A.M. WEST OF 
CARTHAGE AS FLOOD WATERS WASHED A VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD. BE 
ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE 
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. DO NOT DRIVE INTO FLOODED ROAD 
WAYS. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY 
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
