  VAN BUREN COUNTY IN TENNESSEE

* UNTIL 1100 PM CDT

* AT 807 PM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN         
  ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING HEAVY RAINFALL AROUND
  SPENCER...MOVING SOUTH AT 5 MPH.

* TOWNS INCLUDED IN THE WARNING AREA INCLUDE SPENCER.

...A FLASH FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES UNTIL 1100 PM FOR VAN BUREN
COUNTY...

AT 931 PM, DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED THAT EARLIER HEAVY RAINFALL IN THE
SPENCER AREA HAD DIMINISHED CONSIDERABLY. STILL, RADAR ESTIMATES
THAT UPWARDS OF 3 INCHES OF RAIN FELL IN SOME SPOTS DURING A TWO
HOUR PERIOD EARLIER THIS EVENING. AT 850 PM, IT WAS REPORTED THAT
WATER WAS COVERING HIGHWAY 30 AT LAUREL CREEK ABOUT 3 MILES WEST OF
SPENCER.

ALTHOUGH THE EARLIER THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DISSIPATED, RUNOFF FROM THE
RAINFALL MAY STILL PRODUCE RISES ALONG AREA CREEKS AND STREAMS, AND
CAN STILL POSE A DANGER TO THOSE LIVING ALONG WATERWAYS, AND IN LOW
LYING AREAS. AS ALWAYS, PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE ACROSS WATER
COVERED ROADS.
