THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  MAURY COUNTY IN TENNESSEE
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF COLUMBIA

* UNTIL 600 AM CDT

* AT 352 AM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY 
  HEAVY RAIN FALLING IN MAURY COUNTY FROM A NEARLY STATIONARY LINE
  OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM ROCKDALE...MOUNT PLEASANT
  COLUMBIA TO NEAR SPRING HILL. RAINFALL RATES AROUND 2 INCHES
  PER HOUR WERE INDICATED BY DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR. ROADWAYS WILL
  BECOME QUICKLY PONDED WITH WATER AND SMALL STREAMS WILL RISE QUICKLY
  FROM THE HEAVY RAINS.

IMMINENT. MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO

NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM, EVEN A SMALL ONE, ON FOOT. TO
ESCAPE RISING WATER, MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
