THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIAMI HAS EXTENDED THE

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WESTERN COLLIER COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST FLORIDA

* UNTIL 1200 AM EDT

* AT 909 PM EDT...COLLIER COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT REPORTED THAT 
HOMES AND ROADS REMAINED FLOODED ACROSS THE AREA...FROM NAPLES TO 
MARCO ISLAND. WHILE THE HEAVIEST RAIN HAS ENDED FOR THE 
NIGHT...ADDITIONAL SHOWERS WILL MOVE ACROSS COLLIER COUNTY FROM THE 
GULF OF MEXICO PRODUCING ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS GENERALLY UNDER 
ONE INCH.

FLOOD WATERS WILL BE SLOW TO RECEDE THIS EVENING. COUNTY OFFICIALS 
RECOMMEND PEOPLE AVOID TRAVELING TONIGHT. BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT 
NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF ROAD FLOODING. 
IF YOU MUST VENTURE OUT...DRIVE VERY CAUTIOUSLY. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR 
VEHICLE THROUGH AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER 
MAY OBSCURE DEEP CANALS OR PONDS.
