SOUTHEAST PECOS COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST TEXAS NORTHWEST TERRELL COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST TEXAS * UNTIL 600 PM CDT * AT 250 PM CDT...NWS OBSERVERS 30 MILES SOUTHWEST OF BAKERSFIELD REPORTED EARLIER HEAVY RAINS RESULTED IN UP TO 2.50 INCHES OF RAINFALL IN THIRTY MINUTES. ALTHOUGH HEAVY RAINFALL HAS DECLINED IN THE AREA...A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF WATER WAS REPORTED FLOWING IN INDEPENDENCE CREEK. FLASH FLOODING ALONG INDEPENDENCE CREEK WILL RESULT IN HIGH WATER CROSSING HIGHWAYS 349... 2400...AND 2286 IN RURAL SOUTHEAST PECOS AND NORTHWEST TERRELL COUTNIES. ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS IN AREA COULD GREATLY AGGRIVATE THE FLASH FLOODING SITUATION. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.
