ST. CLAIR COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS * UNTIL 900 PM CDT * AT 806 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WITH STRONG ROTATION 20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF SMITHTON. THE STORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH. THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING TORNADOES AND MAY PRODUCE ADDITIONAL TORNADOES AT ANY TIME * LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE... SMITHTON NEW ATHENS FREEBURG FAYETTEVILLE LENZBURG MASCOUTAH THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND LIFE-THREATENING SITUATION. MOVE IMMEDIATELY TO A BASEMENT OR BELOW GROUND SHELTER.
