* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  FRANKLIN COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI
  GASCONADE COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI
  WARREN COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI

* UNTIL 500 AM CDT

* AT 1101 PM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED           
  THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN MOVING EAST ACROSS         
  FRANKLIN...GASCONADE...AND WARREN COUNTIES. BETWEEN 2 AND 3 INCHES 
  OF RAINFALL HAS ALREADY OCCURRED IN THESE COUNTIES AND ADDITIONAL  
  RAINFALL FROM THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY CAUSE FLASH FLOODING.

MOST DEATHS IN FLASH FLOODING OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW WATER CROSSINGS IF WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. DO NOT DRIVE AROUND BARRICADES IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS...
ABANDON IT IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK HIGHER GROUND.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. ACT QUICKLY IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED. MOVE
TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT
TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR FRANKLIN...GASCONADE AND WARREN COUNTIES
HAS EXPIRED...

WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THAT THE THUNDERSTORMS AND 
HEAVY RAIN WHICH PROMPTED THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING HAVE ENDED...AND 
NO ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN IS EXPECTED.  A CHECK WITH THE 
FRANKLIN...GASCONADE...AND WARREN COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPARTMENTS 
INDICATED THAT NO ADDITIONAL FLOODING HAD BEEN REPORTED SINCE AROUND 
115 AM.  

ALTHOUGH THE HEAVY RAINS HAVE SUBSIDED...MOTORISTS SHOULD CONTINUE TO
USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING THROUGH AREAS THAT HAVE EXPERIENCED
FLOODING. ROADS AND BRIDGES MAY HAVE BEEN DAMAGED BY RAPIDLY FLOWING
FLOOD WATERS.
