* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  LAWRENCE COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI
  JEFFERSON DAVIS COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI

* UNTIL 200 AM CDT

* AT 956 PM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY 
RAIN FROM 10 MILES NORTH OF PRENTISS TO 15 MILES SOUTHWEST OF 
MONTICELLO.THE AREA OF   HEAVY RAIN WAS NEARLY STATIONARY.

RADAR ESTIMATED RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 1.5 INCHES IN THE PAST 
HOUR...BRING STORM TOTALS IN THE PAST 36 HOURS TO 3 TO 4 INCHES OVER 
THE SOUTHERN PART OF LAWRENCE AND JEFFERSON DAVIS COUNTIES.  THE 
HEAVIEST RAIN SHOULD TAPER OFF BY ABOUT MIDNIGHT...BUT RUNOFF MAY 
CONTINUE WELL INTO THE NIGHT. 

FLOODING OF CREEKS...STREAMS...SECONDARY ROADS...AND LOW LYING AREAS 
IS LIKELY.  BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO 
RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  NEVER DRIVE YOUR 
VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
