THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  RICHLAND PARISH IN NORTHEAST LOUISIANA

* UNTIL 150 AM CDT

* AT 1149 PM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN MOVING INTO WESTERN RICHLAND 
PARISH. RADAR ESTIMATES THAT 3 TO 5 INCHES OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN
ACROSS THE PARISH EARLIER THIS EVENING AND AN ADDITIONAL 3 TO 4 
INCHES FROM THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINS...COMING IN FROM THE WEST
IS EXPECTED BY 150 AM. 

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.

MOST DEATHS IN FLASH FLOODING OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
