THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FLAGSTAFF HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WEST CENTRAL NAVAJO COUNTY IN NORTHEAST ARIZONA

* UNTIL 545 PM MST

* AT 425 PM MST...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THAT 
  RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES HAS OCCURRED SINCE 100 PM MST
  OVER PORTIONS OF WEST CENTRAL NAVAJO COUNTY...ABOUT 20 MILES 
  SOUTH OF WINSLOW. THE GREATEST THREAT OF FLASH FLOODING IS ALONG
  CHEVELON CREEK AND ITS TRIBUTARIES.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...SECONDARY ROADS AND NORMALLY DRY WASHES AND
ARROYOS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING. 
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY. 
PEOPLE ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE PRECAUTIONS TO 
PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS SWIFTLY FLOWING 
WATERS OR WATERS OF UNKNOWN DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY AUTOMOBILE. IF YOUR 
VEHICLE STALLS, ABANDON IT IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK HIGHER GROUND.
