* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  COWETA COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL GEORGIA
  HEARD COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL GEORGIA
  TROUP COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL GEORGIA

* UNTIL 945 AM EDT

* AT 648 AM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
VERY HEAVY RAIN FROM CENTRAL HEARD COUNTY TO JUST SOUTH OF LAGRANGE. 
THIS AREA OF RAIN WILL MOVE ACROSS TROUP...EASTERN HEARD AND COWETA 
COUNTIES THROUGH 8 AM. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES 
ARE LIKELY WITH THIS AREA OF RAIN.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND 
STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS AND 
FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING 
AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
