THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  EXTREME NORTHWESTERN UPSON COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL GEORGIA

* UNTIL 1130 PM EDT

* AT 1025 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR            
  INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER NORTHWEST UPSON COUNTY...OR ABOUT   
  7 MILES NORTHWEST OF THOMASTON...NEAR THE COMMUNITIES OF CREST
  AND HENDRICKS.

RADAR ESTIMATES THAT A SMALL AREA MAY HAVE RECEIVED IN EXCESS OF 6 
INCHES OF RAIN SINCE 730 PM...WITH OTHER AREAS RECEIVING 4 TO 6 
INCHES OF RAIN. MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN WILL CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT 
HOUR.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS LAND ALONG THE
BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
