BANKS COUNTY IN NORTHEAST GEORGIA * UNTIL 1245 AM EDT * AT 1036 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAIN 8 MILES SOUTHEAST OF HOMER...OR ABOUT 5 MILES NORTHEAST OF COMMERCE...MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 10 MPH. RADAR ESTIMATED 3 TO 5 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN IN BANKS COUNTY DURING THE PAST 2 HOURS. SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS ARE OR WILL BE OVERFLOWING THEIR BANKS.
