THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DODGE CITY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SCOTT COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL KANSAS

* UNTIL 545 PM CDT

* AT 251 PM CDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AS 
MUCH AS 2 INCHES OF RAINFALL OVER THE PAST HOUR OVER EASTERN SCOTT 
COUNTY FROM THUNDERSTORMS THAT WERE MOVING SLOWLY NORTH THROUGH THE 
AREA. NEW THUNDERSTORMS WERE ALSO DEVELOPING SOUTHEAST OF SCOTT CITY 
AND WILL MOVE OVER THE SAME AREA THROUGH 4 PM CDT.

* SOME LOCATIONS AFFECTED INCLUDE...
  GRIGSTON,
  MANNING,
  SCOTT CITY,
  SCOTT STATE LAKE,
  HIGHWAY 96 EAST OF SCOTT CITY

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS...DITCHES...GULLEYS...DRAWS...ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND
ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
