THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STATE COLLEGE PA HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  YORK COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA

* UNTIL 1000 PM EDT.

* AT 655 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A   
THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL CONTINUING TO SIT OVER 
SOUTHERN AND SOUTHEASTERN YORK COUNTY. 

AREA EMERGENCY OFFICIALS HAVE INDICATED THAT MINOR FLOODING IS 
ALREADY OCCURRING IN THE AREA...AND THE ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN WILL 
PRODUCE FLASH FLOODING SHORTLY.

FLASH FLOODING IS MOST LIKELY IN SOUTHERN YORK COUNTY...ESPECIALLY 
CLOSE TO THE TOWNS OF FAWN GROVE AND DELTA.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED. MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND.

SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS WILL RAPIDLY FLOOD...POSSIBLY WASHING OUT
ROADS AND FLOODING NEARBY LOW AREAS.

...A FLASH FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES UNTIL 10 PM FOR YORK COUNTY...

AT 9 PM...RADAR SHOWED HEAVY RAIN HAD MOVED EAST OF YORK COUNTY. 
HOWEVER...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED SERIOUS FLOODING 
IN THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF YORK COUNTY...NEAR THE TOWN OF DELTA AND 
FAWN GROVE. RADAR ESTIMATES AS MUCH AS 8 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN 
IN THIS AREA. 

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE 
ROADWAY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED. MOVE TO
