THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STATE COLLEGE PA HAS ISSUED A
* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
TIOGA COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA
* UNTIL 1000 PM EDT.
* AT 705 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
THUNDERSTORM BETWEEN WELLSBORO AND MANSFIELD.
THE HEAVIEST RAINS HAVE BEGUN TO DIMINISH OVER THE REGION...HOWEVER
RUNOFF FROM PREVIOUS HEAVY PRECIPITATION CONTINUES TO CAUSE FLOODING
PROBLEMS. NUMEROUS ROAD CLOSINGS HAVE BEEN REPORTED BY COUNTY
OFFICIALS. CHARLESTON ROAD NEAR HILLS CREEK STATE PARK IS REPORTED
TO HAVE BEEN UNDERMINED BY THE RAIN AND IS CLOSED.
IN ADDITION...A TRAINED SPOTTER REPORTED NEARLY 5 INCHES OF RAIN
FROM THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN A 3 HOUR PERIOD.
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED. MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND.
