* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  STARK COUNTY IN NORTHEAST OHIO...

* UNTIL 945 PM EDT

* AT 645 PM EDT WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A STRONG 
THUNDERSTORM IN SOUTHEAST STARK COUNTY MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 20 MPH.

* SOME LOCATIONS AFFECTED INCLUDE...
  LOUISVILLE
  NORTH CANTON
  MINERVA

THE HEAVY RAINFALL TODAY HAS BEEN ISOLATED WITH THE HEAVIEST AMOUNTS 
FROM UNIONTOWN THROUGH THE LOUISVILLE AREA TO NEAR MINERVA. 

PUBLIC REPORTED SOME STREAMS COMING OUT OF THEIR BANKS.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THESE STORMS WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY
ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER
LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

918 PM EDT TUE AUG 5 2003

THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR STARK COUNTY.

THE HEAVY RAIN THAT PROMPTED THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING HAS MOVED OUT 
OF THE COUNTY. SOME FLOODING WAS REPORTED IN THE LOUISVILLE AREA 
AROUND 7 PM...A FEW STREAMS WERE OUT OF THEIR BANKS AND SOME ROADS 
WERE FLOODED. AS OF 915 PM THE WATER HAD RECEDES FROM MOST ROADS AND 
STREAMS.

HOWEVER...MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE ACROSS FLOODED ROADS AS THE 
WATER MAY BE DEEPER THAN YOU THINK.
