THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN COLUMBIA HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
    RICHMOND COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA

* UNTIL 1100 PM EDT.

* AT 750 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED 
  THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL OVER THE AUGUSTA AREA. THE
  STORMS WERE SHOWING LITTLE MOVEMENT.

THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAS BEEN MEASURED AT DANIEL FIELD SINCE 645 PM.
ADDITIONAL AMOUNTS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES AREA POSSIBLE THROUGH 1000 PM.
RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING IN 
IN THE AUGUSTA AREA.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE
PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED. MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND.
