THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SCHUYLER COUNTY IN CENTRAL NEW YORK

* UNTIL 830 PM EDT.

* AT 625 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN AREA OF EXCESSIVE   
RAINFALL MOVING THROUGH SCHUYLER COUNTIES.

LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORTS NUMEROUS ROADS CLOSED...MUD SLIDES ACROSS 
ROADS...AND A BRIDGE UNDER WATER. WHILE THE PRECIPITATION IS 
EXPECTED TO TAPER OFF OVER THE NEXT 1 TO 2 HOURS...RUNOFF FROM 
PREVIOUS RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE THE RISK FOR FLASH FLOODING THROUGH 
830 PM EDT.

RAPID FLOODING LIKELY WILL OCCUR OVER MANY OF THE SMALL STREAMS AND 
CREEKS WHERE HEAVY RAIN OCCURS. 

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED. MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND. THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION.
