THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBANY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CENTRAL WASHINGTON COUNTY IN EASTERN NEW YORK

* UNTIL 600 PM EDT

* AT 331 PM EDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY
  RAIN IN CENTRAL WASHINGTON COUNTY.

* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE...ARGYLE...COMSTOCK...COSSAYUNA...
  FORT ANN...FORT EDWARD...HARTFORD...HUDSON FALLS...NORTH GRANVILLE
  AND SALEM

PARTS OF WASHINGTON COUNTY HAVE RECEIVED VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER THE 
PAST FEW DAYS.  IN ADDITION...THUNDERSTORMS BETWEEN 2 PM AND 3 PM 
THIS AFTERNOON DUMPED AN INCH TO AN INCH AND A HALF OF RAIN.  PIKE 
BROOK IS ESPECIALLY PRONE TO FLOODING...WITH THE MT. HOPE 
BROOK...MUD BROOK AND WOOD CREEK ALSO AT RISK. MUD SLIDES ARE 
POSSIBLE.  DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN PLAY NEAR STORM DRAINS AND 
DRAINAGE CULVERTS.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE
PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS
SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS OR WATERS OF UNKNOWN DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY
AUTOMOBILE. IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS, ABANDON IT IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK 
HIGHER GROUND.
